Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)

When Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) transferred from the West End to Broadway, Soutra Gilmour's snow globe-inspired design centered on a 25-foot circular stage suspended beyond the proscenium, requiring meaningful modification to a rental turntable to make it show-ready. Hudson Scenic Studios integrated lighting and fog ports, added a fire break, applied matching faux finishes to the turntable and surrounding deck, and built the dual-level band platform and star portal with scrim front and LED star drop, along with kabuki releases and a snow tumbler system for the production's key effects.
