The GREEN

Hudson Scenic Studios fabricators weld scenic lounge structures at their shop in Yonkers, New York for the immersive art installation, The GREEN, at Lincoln Center Plaza.

As part of Lincoln Center's 2021 "Restart Stages" reopening initiative, Hudson Scenic Studios transformed the Josie Robertson Plaza into The GREEN, a four-month-long immersive art installation and  performance space designed by Tony Award-winning scenic designer Mimi Lien. 


Within only a month from award to installation, Hudson Scenic Studios engineered, fabricated, and installed key components of the 14,000-square-foot installation, including curved walls, an arched library and cafe, and large lounge structures of plywood-clad steel frames covered in artificial grass, built to withstand constant guest use throughout the summer.
