New York, New York

The Tony Award-winning scenic design of the Broadway musical New York, New York required faithfully recreating numerous locations across the five boroughs by reconfiguring key scenic structures and fixtures throughout the show. To achieve this Hudson Scenic Studios hand-painted 12 large-scale scenic drops, built eight custom LED fixtures as mid-century neon signage, engineered custom deck lifts, and fabricated brownstone facades, brick walls, and an I-beam flipper representing the city's construction sites, working closely with designer Beowulf Boritt to keep every piece reading as authentically New York.
