Hudson/Christie Lighting In 2008, Hudson Sound & Light and Christie Lites joined together to form Hudson/Christie Lighting (HCL). The partnership combines the companies’ vast inventory of lighting equipment, expands the depth and reach of their international distribution, and offers decades of shared industry expertise to all of their clients.

Our current and recent Broadway productions include: End of the Rainbow, Gore Vidal’s The Best Man, The Gershwin’s Porgy & Bess, Rock of Ages, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Mary Poppins, Bonnie & Clyde, Chinglish, Other Desert Cities, and Rain. We were also selected by the NYC Department of Education/Department of Strategic Partnerships to provide and install performing arts equipment to schools across the five boroughs.

Hudson Sound & Light was founded in 2004 to expand on the high quality scenic fabrication and automation services provided by Hudson Scenic Studio. Hudson Sound & Light launched by providing the lighting equipment for La Cage Aux Folles and went on to numerous other Broadway productions including Mary Poppins, Spring Awakening, Grease, and The Seafarer.
